Village of the Descendants Powwow

This event is held every September in Sopchoppy, Florida. It is organized by the Village of the Descendants which  is based in North Florida just outside of Tallahassee. Some of the goals and priorities of the village is the true and faithful teaching of Native Creek religious and domestic tradition, providing a forum for the practice of these traditions and to maintain an awareness of Native Creek heritage in an historical context. The powwow features dance competitions, arts & crafts vendors, food vendors and various other exhibits.
